What we have accomplished this week is that we actually managed to get more school supplies. This week we managed to get a box full of supplies!!! We are happy that people are actually donating. We don't usually get a lot of school supplies, but something better than nothing right? So, nothing really hasn't gone wrong as I remember everything was fine. The challenges that we faced was trying to convince people to donate more. We wanted to try and get as much school supplies as possible before the delivery date. Yes, my skills have improved. I can talk comfortably with my mentees and we actually work together to get the things done. Yes, we are on track with the delivery date. Our delivery date is on a Wednesday, March 21, 2018. no adjustments need to be made on our timeline. Our next action is to deliver the school supplies to FMSMS. The Giving Tree (M.A.D)

UPDATE!
What we accomplished is that we posted our flyers on the doors and Ruth sent an email to the Principal of FMSMS, as shown above. We also did some team building games so we can communicate better and so we can work as a team instead of them just sitting around while we do our blogs. What went wrong our project is that we were unable to get a lot of donations as our previous week. The challenges that we faced was that we didn't get as many donations as we wanted. What i have learned through the process is that we need to explain in more detail about our project because not many students know about the donation boxes and I don't think that they took us seriously when we were presenting. My skills improved by being more open and talking to my Mentees more than i usually do. We are barely on track with delivery-time because of the donations. The adjustments that we made is the email that Ruth sent. We sent it earlier than expected. Our next action is to try and get more students to donate school supplies so we can get enough to donate to FMSMS.

Finally Progressing Again :)
Our group going into Ms. Echon's class to put in the donation boxes and to present about it.
Finally! we've been making progress for the past week. We finally put the two remaining boxes into their designated classrooms. My group and our mentees presented about what the purpose of the donation boxes are for. My group is finally getting on track with our timeline. We are finally following the timeline. What went wrong was that Ruth didn't have the boxes in her car because her mom took it out of the trunk. So, we couldn't put the boxes in. The challenges that we faced was that we had to keep changing the dates on our timeline because we weren't following our dates. What I learned through the process was that we should follow our timeline because if we don't we wouldn't be on track and everything that should be on a specific date will be delayed. My skills have improved the past few weeks. I have been able to at least try and get something done on time like the first donation box. We are actually on track now with delivering our boxes since we made some adjustments to our timeline. The that we made in our timeline was the dates of putting the donation boxes into their designated classrooms and the dates of speaking to the principle of FMSMS and also for putting up more flyers. We also changed the date of checking the donation boxes from every end of the month to every Friday. Our next action is to check the donation boxes next week Friday which is January 26, 2018.
Going into Mr. Miura's class to do the same thing we did in Ms. Echon's class.

Progresssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mentees putting the donation box in Ms. Esmundo's class!
Entering 2018 with School supplies woohoo! So Many things have happened since my last post. First, we got all the boxes wrapped so it can be placed in the designated classrooms, but we had a problem. When me, Ruth, and the mentees went to go get the boxes from our cars, Ruth didn't have the boxes so, we only had one. So, we will be placing the remaining boxes next week Thursday which is on January 18, 2018. We put one of the boxes in Ms. Esmundos class already and Ruth gave the students a brief description of what the purpose of the boxes are for. We were supposed to put our boxes in the classrooms during winter break, but we didn't get to so, we also had to change the dates in the timeline for placing the boxes in the classroom. Another problem that we faced was the lack of communication. Ruth was in Korea during winter break. So, we didn't want to bother her during the trip. What I learned from my problems was that we should always stick to our schedule and not slack off. My skills have improved by communicating to the mentees more and making them participate in putting the boxes in the class. My next action is to present to the classes that we will be putting the boxes in, about our project and what the purpose of the boxes are for.
The supplies that Caress will be donating!

Make A Difference week 3
WE RECEIVED AN EMAIL BACK!!!
As we waited for a reply from the principal of FMSMS, we finally received one. Finally, the long wait has ended. As you see in the picture above, The principle from FMSMS gave us permission to donated school supplies to FMSMS. So now all we have to do is get the flyers up and decorate the boxes so we can present and get the donation boxes into the classrooms. What went wrong was that the principal didn't understand our proposal, He thought that we didn't send the proposal, but we did. That's okay though because we'll just send a new, The challenges that we faced was getting on track with our dates. We've been extending our dates. The things that I have learned through the process was that we need to stop delaying and just do what were suppose to do. My skills have improved because we chose our new dates for the presentation which will be on the 14th or 21st of December. We needed to make some adjustments to our presentation dates but we got that all done already. Our groups next action are to present in the classes where we're gonna put the boxes in so they know what the donation boxes are for.
Here in this photo we met with are Mentees last Friday.

Making A Diffrence Week 2
-Our Progress!
~November 6, 2017:
On this day my group mates, Caress and Ruth went to FMSMS to get their consent, but unfortunately he wasn't there. So, they discussed our project to the School admin and got their approval. Since the principle wasn't in his office at the time my group mates went to FMSMS, we emailed him instead to inform him about the project that we were doing and why we were doing it. Below is a picture of the schools sign:

On this day, Me and Ruth, one of my group mates went to get boxes from a store called Hanam. We collected more than enough, just in case the boxes were filled. We will put these boxes that we in 4 classrooms in SSHS. What you can put inside is school supplies that we will donate to FMSMS. The picture below is the boxes we took from Hanam, the store:
The challenges that we have faced is the lack of communication with the FMSMS principle. Another challenged that we faced was that we didn't manage our time because we were so busy that we were stressing about it so much. From this experience I learned that we need to fix our schedules because we also need to take this project more seriously, I need to to start taking this project more seriously. Over the past few days, I took this project more seriously and started to try and get things done on time.
Our group is on track right now. We got accomplished the things that are needed to be done with our project. We need to adjust our timeline because we can't really follow our timeline correctly because were all busy. All we have to do now is post up the flyers and do our presentations in the 4 classrooms that we are going to put our boxes so, they know what the purpose of the boxes are for.

Make A Difference Day 1
Make A Difference Day 1:
-Meeting the Mentor

On Thursday, Oct. 26, we met with our mentor, Ms. Camacho, to discuss about our project. We gave Ms. Camacho our projects template so she can have a better understanding on what our projects going to be about.
We as a group, faced many challenges during this week. One of the challenges that we faced was on Oct. 20, 2017, we were suppose to meet our mentees on this day, but we had a sanctioned activity for our Anatomy class. So, our mentees didn't get to have a better understanding of what our project is about. So, in order to meet up with them we went to Ms. Mettao's class to schedule a meet up the following day. But on the day of the meet up they did not come. So just me and my group mates went to go meet up with our mentor. I learned that to prevent this problem from happening again, one of our members will stay if another sanctioned activity ever happens again. The skills that I have improved are from the problems we faced.
We are not on track as of right now. We are actually a little behind than the others, due to the sanctioned activity, but I think we will be able to be on track soon. The adjustments that we need to make in our project is the information that we don't have from our mentees and the timeline. Our next action to make in our project is to meet up with both our mentees and mentor at the same time to discuss more about the project.
